Vasant Panchami

Vasant Panchami  is a festival that signifies  the arrival of Spring.  It also called as Basant Panchami or Saraswati pooja . we pray to goddess Saraswati in this day . this festival marks the arrival of Spring season also called as "King of  all seasons" .

vasant panchami  is the festival specially dedicated to goddess Saraswati  ,the goddess of knowledge ,music ,language and all arts.Goddess Saraswati is portrayed  as having a veena  and vedas  in her hands that signifies knowledge of all vedas and the veena signifies music .

This festival also celebrate  the agricultural  fields  ripening yellow flowers of mustard crop which is signifies as the favorite color of goddess Saraswati .

Thus we  wear yellow color cloth in vasant panchmi,people wear and eat yellow color things in this day .





Vasant Panchmi is celebrated on magh  month. we pray to goddess sarswati for prosperity,and wisdom .
